Before you try and correct me, I know that not all the artists in this playlist are considered prog rock. I just really wanted to get that Chiodos reference into the title. My housemate stumbled upon At The Drive In the other week and it sent me on a little journey back through some old flames. There's something about this blend of math-guitar, high pitched male vocals and catchy refrains that has always resonated with me.
It turns out that this music sounds just as good to me as the day it came out, maybe even a little better due to the nostalgia! You've probably heard The Fall of Troy and The Mars Volta before but hopefully I can indoctrinate a few more people into the cult of Closure in Moscow as a result of this. It's amazing to me how the influence from these acts echoes through modern metal, I'd love to see this sound make a comeback though.
